Callosa de Segura Fiesta Moors & Christians

The Moors and Christians will be marching through the streets of Callosa de Segura from the 7th to the 16th August 2015. This annual fiesta is held in honour of the towns patron saint; San Roque as well as the patron saint of Spain; the Virgin Mary. The programme includes many different types of parades and processions as well as concerts, flowers offering and a demonstration of Hemp.

Friday 7th August

23:00 Rock Night in the Colegio Publico San Roque

22:00 Opening Speeches in the Plaza de Espana.

Monday 10th August

20:30 Izada and homage to the flag in the Plaza de Espana

Tuesday 11th August
20:30 Flower Offering Parade leaving from the Paseo de la Estacion finishing at the Santuario de San Roque.

23:00 Inauguration of the Kabilas and Barracas (the headquarters / party areas for the Moors and the Christians)

Wednesday 12th August
11:00 Parade of Giants and Big Heads
12:30 Taking of the Castle in the Jardin Glorieta.

21:30 General Parade of the Moors and the Christians from the Plaza de Espana to their Barracas and Kabilas.

22:30 1st Callosinos Gala with performances by local artists in the Jardin Glorieta
