Aguilas Carnival
The Carnival in Aguilas is the biggest and best in the area and has been declared as being of National Tourist Interest. Aguilas is a coastal town on the boarder between Murica and Almeria. It takes about one and a half hours to drive there along a toll motorway from the heart of the South Costa Blanca. There are lots of shows, competitions and acts which make up the programme, but the most interesting events to watch are the three main parades:
Sunday 7th February
18:00 1st Grand Parade along Avda. Juan Carlos I and Calle Rey Carlos III
Tuesday 9th February
18:00 2nd Grand Parade along Avda. Juan Carlos I and Calle Rey Carlos III
Saturday 13th February
18:00 3rd Grand Parade along Avda. Juan Carlos I and Calle Rey Carlos III followed by the burning of Don Carnal and a Grand firework display at the end of the Parade (approx 00:00) at the Puerto de Poniente
