Torrevieja May Fair

The May Fair in Torrevieja will take place from Wednesday the 4th to Sunday the 8th May 2016. It has a traditional Andalusian feel to it and is always worth enjoying. The programme is packed with some great free shows, including horse parades and flamenco dancing. There is also a large firework display and the opportunity to try some traditional foods from the 'casetas' which are special erected marquees. Take your camera as there will be ladies wearing flamenco dresses by the hundreds, men in traditional countryside costumes and masses of horses.

The fair ground will be open everyday from the 4th to the 8th for you to visit and enjoy some typical Andalusian cuisine and atmosphere, although it is mainly an evening event with a party atmosphere. It is located beside the New Marina in Torrevieja and entrance to the Fair Ground is free.

Wednesday 4th May

21:00 Inauguration of the Festival (at the fair ground beside the marina) and switching on of the fair ground lights, followed by fireworks.

Saturday 7th May

11:00 Mass at the Parroquia Arciprestal de la Inmaculada Concepción

12:00 Horses and Carriage Parade from the church to the fair ground which continues until 16:00.

Sunday 8th May

12:00 Gathering and parading of the horses at the fair until 16:00

23:30 Closure of the May Fair
