Feel safer and more comfortable on Alicante Beaches
Greater policing of Alicante beaches!
On Friday 8th June, 24 Police officers started their work on 5 city beaches to ensure control, security and safety of the beach goers.
Police officers will be patroling the beaches of: El Postiguet, I`Albufereta / I`Almadrava, Saladar / Urbanova, San Juan and Tabarca - every day from 10:00 am to 08:00 pm, on foot, riding bicycles and four-wheel quads. Their service will be active on the beaches of Alicante until September 15th.
The Cities authorities are determined to ensure greater control over the cleanliness of the beaches, as well as the prompt response to traffic accidents and illegal commerce in the beach area.
Lifegaurd services have been working already on the beaches as well as monitoring of rental services of catamarans, jet skis and organisation of boat trips. The aim is to ensure the excellent functioning of beaches of the province capital in the summer of 2018. On top of this there are 46 specialists hired, including paramedics, rescuers, coordinators, etc.
At the same time there has been an increase in the activity of the department of fire prevention.
The overall aim is to ensure beach goers can enjoy a day out at the beach in the best possible surroundings and know they will get the best service possible and a relaxing experience.
