The sale of housing and its price will continue to grow in Spain in 2017
The purchase and sale of houses will grow by 15% in 2017, reaching 465,000, according to calculations by Servihabitat.
The sale of housing will continue to grow this year and in time will also its price. This is ensured by two of the most important banks in the country. On the one hand, Servihabitat (La Caixa) estimates that housing sales will grow 15% this year. On the other hand, BBVA expects more increases in the price of housing and greater residential investment until 2018.
The fourth report on the 'Residential market in Spain', prepared by the research and analysis platform of the real estate market of Servihabitat, points out that the purchase and sale of housing will grow at a rate of 15% year-on-year in Spain during this year and will exceed 465,500 units Sold. According to the study, Spain is experiencing a process of market normalization and an increase in demand pressure, which drives prices upwards and does not occur in a similar way throughout the Spanish territory.

The main reasons that have driven up the demand are labour stability and the consequent increase in household income, the increase in the mortgage loan concession and the demand for investment, which represents 20% in the habitual residence and 22% in the holiday, and the growth of supply and demand for new work. The value of the purchases will increase by 4.1% so far this year, but will not do so evenly in all territories of Spain.
