Visas for the construction of housing in Spain are located until May 2017 above 30,000, a 13.3% more than in 2016

24,199 of the permits were from block flats, 8,345 of single-family homes.

Authorized visas of new construction for residential use in Spain stood at 32,552 units in the first five months of 2017, an increase of 13.3% compared to the same period in 2016 (28,736 units).

In this way, the permits to build houses maintain in the beginning of 2017 the path to the rise, after chaining three consecutive years in positive, according to data of the Ministry of Public Works.

Of the total number of visas up to May, 24,199 were block flats (up 12.3% year-on-year) and 8,345 single-family homes.

In 2016, visas increased 28.9% after they did so by 42.5% in 2015, consolidating the recovery started in 2014, a year in which it broke with seven consecutive years in negative when rebounding a 1 , 7%.

This indicator of the real estate market in 2013 marked a record low (34,288 units), a figure that from the peak reached in 2006, with 865,561 visas, meant a 96% collapse.
